Google Experiment Results - Only the First Anchor Text Counts
Randfish over at SEOmoz published results from an interesting experiment he recently ran on a major consideration for your anchor text placement and internal linking structure when you have multiple links pointing to the same page. Read it here.
In a nutshell you should learn the following from Rands post:
- When you have two links pointing to the same page of your web site, use a nofollow on the first link if you want the second link’s anchor text to count
- Start thinking about the value of testing, don’t just test your PPC campaigns. It can be complex and time consuming, but the returns tend to be very high.
